History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Shifting was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: She can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. She has all her life been fascinated with dancing.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered dancing. She has never given up on her dancing dream.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Elven conditions. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

She was beautiful and young once, which still shows through her age, but it is a faded beauty.

Personality: She's a bit of a prankster. She knows she is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. Her philosophy is that everyone needs a friend and as such shows hospitality towards all.

History: Born in the south her family was never financially stable. Her first spouse was a Fletcher, they had one son, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. Since then, she has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Bricklayer and was forced into it by her family; and her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage
