History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Gardain was born on a far eastern island where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Painter. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and he feels kind of lost in life

Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Quarethon will drive conversation. Any perceived weakness will be pressed and exploited. He is seen as merciless and passionate.

History: The child of a Bather, who enjoyed hunting, Quarethon was taken on many hunting expeditions. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help
