History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Rurik was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Detective for hire.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Detective responsibilities is difficult.

History: Her necromantic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. Her mother was a soldier and died while she was still young. Maiathah was left her mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Maiathah fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
