Because they were valued, his father taught him to defend himself. When his father died while fighting illithids, the young Soveliss began to lead the lost caravan. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: Born in the east to a Bowyer, Igden learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He struck the Bowyer job and began his own company from there.
