History: When she was but 6 years old her parents immigrated from the south. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Personality: Deceptive and manipulative this western guy figured out how to best use his charms to convince people to do what he wants. He is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of him. He is by nature obliging.

History: Glim lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His first spouse was a Bricklayer, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Bricklayer they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Actor, and he later adopted a second son.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and wants to raise his children well

Description: A 4'9" northern woman, she is dressed in an above average manner. Her moppish black hair is in a traditional bowl cut. She wears round tiny glasses practically rammed into her face.

Personality: She tends to agree with only herself unless someone else's opinion sounds like she can profit from it. She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. As long as the job gets done she does not care how it got done.

History: Hatae was born with her mother's beautiful face. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Hatae grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Hatae. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Scribe work with an outfit from a few towns over. Scribe work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 13 years.

History: Born in the south to a Mayor, Sweet learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Mayor responsibilities is difficult.
