His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He has a habit of throwing himself into exceedingly dangerous situations.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift.
