History: Erias hails from a village terrorized by giants. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Erias alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: Ubada was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Ubada grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Ubada.
