However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the brigands.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Cockaby was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Personality: She is a jovial happy person, but she is convinced people are living their lives too quickly. She lacks moral complications. She does what she is told to by employers but not much else. She spends her money on whatever she fancies at the time.

History: Abalaba was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Wizard, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Wizard in service of a powerful lord somewhere. A freak accident while working with her Bowyer father left her crippled. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: A powerful brothel owner made him what he is. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Tabaxi activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Tabaxi doctor. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.
