Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

This search led her directly into Shipwright work with an outfit from a few towns over. Shipwright work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She became a Shipwright soon after.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Mella was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
