History: Gilbert was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Through the years after Gilbert was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Gilbert's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. Some 5 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Gilbert never married again.
