Personality: Friendly and accommodating she would invite many more into her home than her spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. She is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Halflings.

History: She was born in the east, but her parents moved at a very young age to the south. As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Halfling conditions. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Half-Elven people; and half-elven compassion

Description: An older woman who is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers her face most of the time, she is not a threatening figure. She wears her hair in dreadlocks. She has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. She wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: She is highly sensitive about her name. She loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. She is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure she is not cheated out of a speck.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Jacoba grew up listening to her father's many stories. Jacoba liked to wander the woods near her home when she was young, something she still likes to do at least once a week. She never liked modest clothing or shoes, so she would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and she developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and regain custody of her daughter

Personality: He is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. He disdains his fellow southerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when drow swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Many drow want him driven away; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

Personality: Calm and collected, she is a well trained Shepherd. When she's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, she's doing music.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. Her father took her hunting and taught her how to get in the mind of other creatures. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and she'd like to take her coworkers down a peg
