History: Theriatis hails from a village terrorized by drow. He took after his father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his father taught him to defend himself. When his father died while fighting drow, the young Theriatis began to lead the lost caravan. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and he desires to right it
