History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Maiathah was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. After a long history of fighting, Maiathah and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: Rivaan lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Bather they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Sculptor, and he later adopted a second son.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered music. She's also a talented Navigator, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Barber and was forced into it by her family; and to be a navigator again

History: She got into the Healer business at a young age. Brilliant and gifted she never wanted to apply herself. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 15 years.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Healer responsibilities is difficult; and she is unsatisfied with her job

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has worked as a Bather like his mother before him.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor.
