She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. She saw this and took pride in her father's willingness to do anything to win. She left for the south, certain she would find work there.

Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the plains due to the painful memories there.
