However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the drow.

History: Born in the east to a Cartwright, Maynild learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. Her mother was a soldier and died while she was still young. Maynild was left her mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by orcs. Maynild was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the orcs.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her father and mother. Her father taught her the rudiments of the Dyer arts, while her mother instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Dyer. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To pay off her debts.

Personality: He is mildly Half-Elf supremacist, though he does not identify as such. He cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: He was born into a rich family. Ostracized due to the divine powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Half-Elves became a terror of the countryside. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He is greedy; and a strong sense of loyalty to gnomish people
