History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. A gifted student he started as a Unemployed, but he got bored and became a Mortician. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Personality: Balam is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Map Maker arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Map Maker work with an outfit from a few towns over. Map Maker work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He struck the Map Maker job and began his own company from there.
