Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes illithids are coming to abduct people. He is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Dwarves.

History: He was born into a rich family. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Dwarven conditions. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: He feels threatened by others; and to end his boredom

Personality: He is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. His philosophy is that everyone needs a friend and as such shows hospitality towards all.

History: He comes from a rich eastern family. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: He is greedy; and wants to have a good time and be beloved
