It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge; and a rival would like her out of the picture

His brown hair is heavily combed to the right. His hazel eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. He has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: He likes to be helpful to his clients. He likes to prescribe proper advice to his clients. Peter enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Peter was born with his mother's beautiful face. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Tanner. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg

Personality: He is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. Around other people he will do his best to conceal his emotions and appear jolly.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 9 years.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and further expansion of business

Personality: She is envious of other's things. She hoards treasure, art, food, wine, and anything that she so desires. She is stubborn though. She always likes to keep a trick up her sleeve. She likes to fight dirty and will kick and punch below the belt if she feels she even has a chance of losing.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. When Myria reached her early adolescence her Halfling mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. Recently she has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.
