Gaaki was born on a far western island where she grew up under the tutelage of her father, an expert Stableman. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: Gifted from a young age, Varis studied abroad. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and he is greedy

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her mother. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She has since married many spouses, only to have them die. She claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: She feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help; and she has decided she is irredeemable
