History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Therai was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: She is a bit of a kleptomaniac; and she has decided she is irredeemable

Personality: He runs his personal life as if detached from it. He organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits he will get from it. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Gnomes in the south were limited. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He uses money and sex appeal to get what he needs.
