History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Her father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Nella fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Cook. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Cook.

Description: He is an average looking northern male in his early mid-life. He wears dark leathers with embroidery. He wears his brass crest down. His eyes are red.

History: Maagog lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Maagog was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Maagog decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent father; and he wants to get laid

Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Detective who has hired him part-time. He has a small toy that he constantly fidgets with.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Gormogord was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Wants his loneliness to end.

Description: She stands about 5'6" and is renowned for her bright black dresses and hats. Her right hand appears badly burned and disfigured. Her brown hair is smooth and relatively long. She is missing an eye and her face is severely sunburned. Her one remaining eye shines gold.

Personality: Her tongue was cut out and she uses sign language. She cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist she will grow angry at them.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and she desires to right it; and to reunite with her old friends
