History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Randal was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He moved out east to avoid the crime he committed. He has dedicated himself to building a better trade route.

History: Seraphina was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Sculptor hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
