History: Born in the east her family was never financially stable. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Spice Merchant. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by orcs. Mary was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the orcs.
