Personality: Katherine speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. She is clearly well-traveled and educated. She does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of giants may trigger it at times.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Born to a Miner, his mother struggled to pay the bills. A gifted student he started as a Miner, but he got bored and became a Carpenter. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
