History: Soveliss hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Medrash was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He found a children's book about a Dragonborn Aristocrat who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature pickaxe.
