He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Dilettante they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Miller, and he later adopted a second son.

History: Paggen was born the youngest of three triplets. A freak accident while working with his Priest father left him crippled. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

History: She was raised by priests from a young age. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions
