Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. He is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Halflings.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. Being a Fletcher kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and a rival would like him out of the picture

Personality: Cocky and sure of herself, she believes she is the best Painter born in the past three hundred years. She seeks to pay back kindness whenever she gets the chance. Whether it be in the form of unwanted serenades or the latest gossip she always seeks to do solids for her friends.

History: She comes from a rich western family. A gifted student she started as a Layabout, but she got bored and became a Painter. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Beneath her sweater she keeps a concealed whip, just in case. She has wavy white hair. She is missing an eye and her face is severely sunburned. Her one remaining eye shines brown.

Personality: She is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help her friends. She considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. She loves her children and doesn't want them to worry about her. She loves to share her painting with anyone who is interested.

History: Juliana was born the youngest of three triplets. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Mercenary. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

Motivation: She is unsatisfied with her job; and her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. A fanatic, his devotion to his small selection of gods is unquestionable. He claims to be doing their will and will base all his actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: Born to a Interpreter, his mother struggled to pay the bills. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
