History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Through the years after Balifra was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Balifra's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Balifra and her spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: She considers herself a woman of culture and sophistication. She likes a good challenge to her wits. Her brief stint in the army gave her the idea she was invincible and that she is the toughest woman alive.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. She was an apprentice working in her mother's forge. She now mingles about in high society.

Description: This man is unhealthily muscled, almost every single one of his veins is visible when he is not flexing. His shirts and pants tend to be short and undersized for him due to the difficulty of finding a good tailor. His red hair is thinning but still full. His thin eyebrows rest above his beady blue eyes.

Personality: Burgell wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Ranger, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. In his 19th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: She is quite rude, and likes to deride her opponents skill and shout insults at them. She moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep her interest for a month it is impressive.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Dara was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She dropped out of school before completing her studies. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
