History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His childhood dream was to be a Shoemaker, but he was a colossal failure. He has worked as a Spice Merchant like his father before him.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Spice Merchant responsibilities is difficult; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

Personality: She is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before her hampering stammer kicks in. She has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: A deep hatred of goblins; and revenge

Description: This fat western man has a bulbous nose and wears a brown costume with the symbols of the sun god on his torso. His skin is also unnaturally pale. His red hair is long and unkept. His eyes are gray.

Personality: He is a very happy person and has lots of energy. To put it simply, he's a very lovable idiot. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Gimurt grew up listening to his mother's many stories. His mother worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled mother and took his mother's old job. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and retire the richest man in the west

Personality: Here is a woman who knows she is the smartest in the room. She talks down to others constantly. A true patriot, Jarana would do anything for her country. She is fiercely protective of her fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: She was raised by priests from a young age. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

Motivation: She feels the way she acts is they only way to get by in the world; and she doesn't get along with people that don't share her tastes

Personality: She believes there is no problem she cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of goblins once and for all.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Puyet was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She found a children's book about a Half-Orc Expert who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Motivation: Someone believes her a fraud; and several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge
