History: Gifted from a young age, Akmen studied abroad. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: Marry his brother to traveling adventurers.

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with singing. He constantly tries to fill his life with singing. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: A child with a great deal of singing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He has had some formal singing training, and achieved minor success. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Valanthe was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Personality: He is happy with his job as a Mortician. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. He always tries to repair and not replace. It was this mentality that drove him into the Mortician business.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He worked as a nervous Mortician and found it very stressful. He struck the Mortician job and began his own company from there.

Motivation: Further expansion of business; and balancing his hectic life and new mortician responsibilities is difficult
