Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Melech embodies much of what other species detest in the Tieflings. He disdains his fellow northerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: He is a Yochlol in disguise. Through the years after Melech was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Melech's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has dedicated himself to building a better village for his children.

Personality: She considers herself the protector of her home. She feels this is her duty and calling. She does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for her. She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. A gifted student she started as a Bookbinder, but she got bored and became a Herbalist. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 13 years.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and she wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Her voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: She is a hateful person. She taunts others and blames them for her problems. The war was a terrible time for her, and Mara does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: Mara was born with her father's beautiful face. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

His face is covered beneath a completely black helmet.

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Layabout born in the past three hundred years. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. He has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Layabout for hire.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and he is greedy

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, she has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. She loves teas. She is very sensitive about her face. To blow off anger she lifts weights and to control her otherwise explosive temper she works out a lot.

History: She was born at the edge of vast forest. Her father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and she is greedy
