History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Tabaxis in the south were limited. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He has dedicated himself to building a better trade route.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Painter responsibilities is difficult; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark
