Personality: She has schizophrenia that causes her to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. The war was a terrible time for her, and Helja does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing writing.

History: Lucan was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has never given up on his writing dream.

Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life; and his religion dominates his actions

He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Brilliant and gifted she never wanted to apply herself. After a long history of fighting, Mara and her spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and she feels threatened by others
