History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. As a very small child her family refused to pay dues to a local crime lord, who ordered them killed. Her mother, a somewhat powerful mage sought to protect her and cast a teleportation spell that whisked her away. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Motivation: She is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. Her martial abilities were realized during a raid on her village. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
