He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. After a long history of fighting, Vassago and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help; and nothing but the best is good enough for him

Description: This younger middle-aged woman wears suspenders and black workpants. Her shirt is violet, and she wears a heavy black leather apron most of the time, and a wedding ring on her left hand. Her red hair is greasy and uncared for. She is baby faced.

Personality: She has a good heart but also a terrible temper. She will forgive often but not before yelling and berating someone for whatever they have done wrong. She is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes her no end of embarrassment.

History: She comes from a rich eastern family. At a young age she wooed the heart of her future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: She's repulsed by the PC.

Description: Relatively heavier built than your average man, he is not imposing. He wears a simple red robe with grey stripes complete with hood. His red hair, when down, is lengthy. His face possesses mild wrinkles. His smile is extraordinarily sincere though he does not smile often.

Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. He is a ruthless business man, a trait he acquired from his mother.

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. Ortegar was born on a far northern plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Miller. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and many gnolls want him driven away

Description: He wears a brown cloak and cross-gartered black stockings. He is portly but not overly obese. His fur is short and yellow. He has green eyes and a brown hat with a black feather.

Personality: He has two modes he varies between. On the job he is cold, steely and emotionless. Off the job he is a party animal. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered north to less war torn lands. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Map Maker for the past few years.

Motivation: Expand his business.
