History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Nicholas was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: She is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. She lacks restraint and is impulsive. She jumps in and acts without thinking all too often.

Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Joan is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her mother. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.
