Description: She is a pot bellied northern woman with a big hulking figure and broad shoulders. She is perpetually draped in fineries, but all of this concealed by her earthly robes.. Her white hair is cut short. Her skin is flawless and her green eyes scan people very quickly.

Personality: She is highly sensitive about her name. She loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. She cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist she will grow angry at them.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Althaea was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Through the years after Althaea was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Althaea's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Althaea and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: The child of southern immigrants she idolized her mother. Her mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: Further expansion of business; and retire the richest woman in the south

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. Ar-Baruk enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Beggar arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Beggar.
