Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Vondal alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: He got into the Cook business at a young age. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He has worked as a Cook like his mother before him.

She dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. Her biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: The child of southern immigrants she idolized her father. Gurdis was born on a far southern island where she grew up under the tutelage of her father, an expert Assassin. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
