Personality: She is a Adventurer first and foremost. She believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. She tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: Born to a Butcher, her father struggled to pay the bills. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. She now owns her own business.

Personality: She is a melancholic, but persistent worker. She resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. She refers to her adoptive mother for almost all things she is unsure about, which are numerous. She is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: The child of eastern immigrants she idolized her mother. Ranala was born on a far eastern plains where she grew up under the tutelage of her mother, an expert Dilettante. She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

She is bald on top and has large black tufts of hair around her ears. She has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. She wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: She resents people who mock her appearance or her, so she has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. She never wears the same outfit twice, unless she absolutely has to.

History: She comes from a rich eastern family. She has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Personality: He is extraordinarily eccentric. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his painting with anyone who is interested.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Soapmaker arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
