History: He got into the Tanner business at a young age. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He now owns his own business.

Description: He is a paragon of his species. He is larger and stronger than most Humans. His skin is dark but he possesses many black ritualistic tattoos. He wears clothing that is held on in multiple layers but all of it is in poor condition. With a patchy chestnut beard and wild chestnut hair. His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: He is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. He passes on several rewards to people in need. He makes a point to leave places better than he found them.

History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. In his 14th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Description: She is scrawny and has patchy silver crest. She wears baggy green pantaloons and a violet scarf. She has a hunchback. Her crest is cut close to her head. She has several tiny ruby earrings on each ear.

Personality: She is unhospitable to her core. Her small house has "No trespassing" Signs all over it. She refers to her adoptive mother for almost all things she is unsure about, which are numerous. She is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Bookbinder arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: She is overprotective of those who hire her services. She has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. Through the years after Sariel was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Sariel's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: To protect her home; and wants to work out more often

Description: This southern man is abnormally tall. He wears a faded coat and loose pants complete with deerstalker hat. His whole body is exceptionally muscular. His auburn hair is smooth and relatively long. He wears an eyepatch.

Personality: He hates brigands. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His parents were killed by brigands in a raid when he was still a young child. The brigands captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He wants revenge against brigands; and a deep hatred of brigands
