Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by drow. Andraste was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the drow.

History: Kansif lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a son. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Weaver they were divorced and she won custody of their son. She worked as a Cartwright, and she later adopted a second son.
