History: He was born in a small island village. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a old dungeon. He would wander through that old dungeon and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Paelias took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up falchion and armor he uses now. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: She can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. She does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for her. She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Alain was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Roondar alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: He wants revenge against dire rats; and revenge

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. She dropped out of school before completing her studies. Now she works as a music tutor during her time off.

Personality: He is shy and timid. He has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. He is underhanded and not above using his wealth and body to get others to do his bidding.

He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Bookbinder work with an outfit from a few towns over. Bookbinder work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
