Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with writing. He constantly tries to fill his life with writing. He has all his life been fascinated with writing.

History: Berrian hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has never given up on his writing dream.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it.

Description: This man is moderately tanned and has just the faintest trace of an accent. He wears a brown armored body suit, with a simple black line shooting up and back down. He keeps his long black hair kept up in a rat tail. His amber eyes dart from person to person.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He also hits on women, regardless of circumstances.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Through the years after Kilvar was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Kilvar's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Healer. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and wants a kiss

Description: Standing 6'1", this woman wears dark leathers with embroidery. She wears a feathered hat to hide her balding. Her face possesses mild wrinkles. Her smile is extraordinarily sincere though she does not smile often.

Personality: She speaks before she thinks and is too direct. She does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of illithids may trigger it at times.

History: Born in the east to a Weaver, Sora learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. Before the accident, she was one of the most outspoken anti-Dwarven activists. She was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Dwarven doctor. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: To be a Miner again; and she is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs

Description: He wears grey painted combat armor at almost all times. He carries a battered dagger and tarnished greatsword as well. His black hair is singed and shortened. His face is scarred and worn.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Thorin was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Thorin's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC.

Description: This woman wears a grey vest with golden trim over her white shirt. Her blue leather gloves and pants are well-kept, and her grey boots flare out at the collars. She is muscular with a powerful set of arms. Her auburn hair is heavily combed to the right. Judging by the bloodshot nature of her eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine she has not slept for days.

Personality: She considers herself the protector of her home. She feels this is her duty and calling. She is able to make almost anything out of random pieces of junk.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and she is greedy
