His mother, a somewhat powerful mage sought to protect him and cast a teleportation spell that whisked him away. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: She can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. She does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Nija was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Before the accident, she was one of the most outspoken anti-Dwarven activists. She was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Dwarven doctor. She was granted psionic powers by her dying brother.
