History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, River was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: She has comitted a past crime that haunts her to this day; and she possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He now mingles about in high society.

Description: This man wears a red armored body suit, with a simple brown line shooting up and back down. He is muscular with a powerful set of arms. His red hair is heavily combed to the right. His face is full, his cheeks are rosy, and he always seems to sport a perfect smile and a twinkle in his violet eyes.

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. A true patriot, Ortegar would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: He was born into a rich family. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Ortegar fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and he has money and likes to spend it
