Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. He is used to getting what he wants. In part because he is a meticulous planner.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Halfling activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Halfling doctor. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and he doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes

Personality: She is extraordinarily eccentric. She is a great chef.

History: Nogu lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her mother disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her mother, she was betrayed dozens of times. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: Regain custody of her daughter; and her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. Her father was a mechanic, and taught her how to fix just about anything. She has never given up on her writing dream.

History: When she was but 4 years old her parents immigrated from the east. Over the years she perfected her riding and shooting skills. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: To reunite with her absent mother; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother
