History: Cory hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Cory was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the dire rats.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Because her mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, dire rats burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. She was preparing to flee to the east, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her father from journeying east to reunite her family. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Half-Elves in the east were limited. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.
