History: A powerful necromancer made him what he is. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Bruz grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Bruz. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: She is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. She refers to her adoptive father for almost all things she is unsure about, which are numerous. She is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She has never given up on her writing dream.

Personality: She is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help her friends. She considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. She lacks moral complications. She does what she is told to by employers but not much else. She spends her money on whatever she fancies at the time.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. A gifted student she started as a Butcher, but she got bored and became a Healer. Since then, she has sought to make the best of life.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Left-Handed embodies much of what other species detest in the Tabaxis. She lacks moral complications. She does what she is told to by employers but not much else. She spends her money on whatever she fancies at the time.

History: She was born in the south. Because her father participated in the massacre of their homeland, dire rats burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. She was preparing to flee to the south, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her mother from journeying south to reunite her family. She's also a talented Map Maker, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: She seems to be bored by most things; and balancing her hectic life and new shipwright responsibilities is difficult
