History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a son. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Personality: Qualen hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his music career. He also is a firm believer in the manly ideal.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs.

Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: Arumawann lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and to get a good night's sleep

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Pâsh grew up listening to his mother's many stories. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature ceremonial dagger.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he desires power and/or immortality
