History: Balam lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered north to less war torn lands. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Painter they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Animal Trainer, and he later adopted a second son.

Personality: He loves telling others what to do and how they should feel about things. He is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.

History: He was born into a rich family. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality.

Personality: She will rave to anyone who will listen. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Meriele is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: The child of a Roofer, who enjoyed hunting, Meriele was taken on many hunting expeditions. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

Personality: Calm and collected, he is a well trained Map Maker. More though he will beg to come along on any journeys. He will attempt to stowaway on any ship he can in the hopes that it will get him further away.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his mother. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He tends to his Map Maker job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.
